Lesson Objectives
- To review the rich text editor
- To add images and links
- To add a table
- To embed an object from another website
Outline
The second lesson I am using to explore adding in basic content using the rich text editor. Hopefully this will be as simple as using a word processor.

I have added a link to a website by clicking on the image. Adding images uses up some of your limited storage space available with PBWiki.
An alternative is to host your images in Picasa Web Albums. This avoids using any storage in PBWiki and extends the usefulness of the free account.
Using html to embed an image is the same as using it to embed video. Blip.tv would be useful to store video or alternatively TeacherTube. Google videos and YouTube tend to filtered out in schools and therefore content hosted here would be difficult to include.
Adding a table
| No so keen on the table tool |
It is not as easy to manipluate as in a word processing package. There is word wrap allowing me to type continuously without worrying about formating. |
| Formatting can be adjusted for different cells. |
It does what is says on the tin. |

Images can be added in to the table. Editing the image propaerties allows each images to be of the same width.
This could useful when creating a gallery and asking students to add notes.

Summary
The rich text editor is intuitive to use. Right-clicking on objects brings up editing options. These tend to be fairly extensive, allowing you to create a pleasing page to read. Little previous knowledge is needed to use the editor to create a page - I would image anyone familiar with word processing could create something very quickly.
